Get more implant patients
You want to place more implants.
Not necessarily on more patients. Just more of the right treatments. A day with two implants is a different day from one with fourteen check-ups, cleanings and broken teeth.
Then comes the sentence I hear again and again:
I feel uncomfortable advertising myself and my clinic.
I understand that.
You have spent years getting good at something difficult, and now you are also expected to tell the world about it. It can quickly feel like you have to stand there shouting: "Look at me. I'm good. Choose me."
The online marketing we don't like
Most colleagues I know don't like the marketing they meet online. When I talk with them, they say it undermines our profession when patients and politicians are constantly met with offers of getting everything at half price, and I tend to think they are right. Because it is (in my eyes) lazy marketing.
Low-price offers work well for attracting one particular segment of the population. And when every dentist website a patient visits says roughly the same thing, high quality and the patient at the center, there is only one factor left to choose a new dentist on: price. That creates a race to the bottom which is good for neither patients nor clinics.
What can you do instead?
Four out of five patients don't choose a dentist on price. Only the last fifth buys purely on a number. The four fifths are trying to work out something else, and that is the part most clinic websites leave unanswered. They are looking for something like:
who are these people,
what do they do,
can I trust them,
is this a place I want to be.
If they don't find the answers with you, they find them somewhere else.
So try something very simple next week.
Find 3 people who are not your patients. A neighbor. A friend. Your brother-in-law. Show them the front page of your clinic website for thirty seconds, take it away again, and ask two things:
What do you think we do here?
Would you choose the clinic if you needed it?
It takes fifteen minutes.
If the three answers are different, you have learned something.
Not about your patients, but about why the patients you want may never find their way to you.
You don't have to get better at advertising.
Instead, make it easier for the right patients to see why they should choose you.
Want an outside look? Take a free brand check
If you want a trained eye on your clinic from the outside, take a free brand check with me. We spend half an hour online on your clinic and your patients, and you leave the conversation with three concrete recommendations you can use, whether or not we end up working together afterward.

Thank you for reading.
